Qualified Stallion Faralay II
We are thrilled to present Faralay II, the only breeding son of Ebanisto in the U.S. Faralay was bred by Villa Mazzara in Barcelona, Spain, a small farm producing exquisite PRE's for the sport of Dressage. Faralay stands 16'2hh and he has tremendous bone, a gracious temperament, and powerful, straight, uphill movement with impulsion and cadence to spare. He confers his uphill movement, free shoulder, size and most of all, his kind and generous nature to his foals.
His pedigree reveals his strong Escalera and Guardiola bloodlines: his mother is a granddaughter of Lebrijano III through her sire, Estudiante XII 1983 (also the sire of Olimpico XVII, champion stallion in the U.S. and foundaton sire at Camass Andaluz before he was exported to Mexico); Faralay's sire, Ebanisto, a branded Guardiola stallion and a proven dressage performer and show horse himself in Spain and France, carries the blood of Maromo and Educado, two very well known and highly esteemed Guardiola sires.
Faralay began his formal dressage training in 2008 with Angela Ridgway and made his first show appearance at the Golden State Dressage Festival in April, 2009. Later in 2009, he made his halter debut at Feria del Caballo Espanol where he won his class of 5 and 6 year old stallions though he was the youngest horse in the ring. Later that year, he was awarded the prestigious status of "Calificado" or Qualified, by the ANCCE Qualified Tribunal.
Faralay has a full show schedule for 2010 where he will be showing in open dressage in northern California. Watch for him at Starr Vaughn, Woodside, and others.
Colts and fillies from Faralay are available for viewing and purchase here at the ranch. Stallion service is available to a limited number of outside mares as well. Fresh cooled or frozen semen is available.

This incredible 16.1 hand gray stallion was bred by Yeguada Señorio de Bariain in Bilbao, Spain, and imported in 1996 by Janne Rumbough of MTICA Farms in Wellington, Florida. Gaucho III caused a sensation internationally as an extraordinary dressage competitor, competing in the U.S. at Intermediate I and Grand Prix levels. An unfortunate injury in 2000 put an end to his competitive career, but Gaucho III has now made his mark as a sire of quality in the United States, Spain, Mexico and Costa Rica. He has cemented his role as a preeminent sire of dressage horses through the accomplishments of his sons and daughters. In the USEF 2009 ranking of top dressage sires, he was ranked 7th out of 1079 stallions of all all breeds, and he is the first P.R.E. to achieve such recognition.
In 2007, Gaucho III was presented to the first Spanish Tribunal (TRC) on US soil, for approval as a Qualified Stallion. At 17 years old, he was one of the oldest horses presented, as most horses present at 4 to 6 years of age. He was approved for Qualified status for his physical structure, wonderful movement, and extreme quality.
Gaucho III carries Yeguada Militar, Miura, Bocado/Terry, and Escalera bloodlines. He is a half-brother to the Spanish Olympic Team’s Invasor II, and both are grandsons of Lebrijano III—a lineage shared by many Spanish dressage horses including our own Faralay II.

Romerito II embodies the best qualities of the PRE horse: beauty, correct conformation, intelligence, athleticism and generosity. And he reliably passes these traits on to his offspring. Romerito was imported from Germany where he was born from the stock of Yeguada San Miguel in Spain. Although he stands a true 17hh, he moves with grace and lightness which belies his height. We have retained two of his daughters, Bengala KR and America KR, for our breeding program. Both are granddaughters of Ebanisto through their dams and both have inherited substantial bone and height, along with strong, uphill movement with outstanding cadence and suspension.
